At the meeting of the International Kendo Federation (FIK), held on 25 May 2012, it was decided that all affillitates of the FIK would appoint an Anti Doping Liaison Officer. The main function of the role will be to to liaise with the FIK Anti Doping Committee and to propagate anti-doping information provided by the FIK to our members.
We are pleased to announce that following a call for volunteers in August 2012, the AKR received an application from Dr Kevin Humphrey. Dr Humphrey is a Doctor of Medicine, a kendo and iaido player and President of the Queensland Kendo Renmei.
The AKR welcomes Dr Humphrey and thanks him very much for accepting the responsibility and the tasks involved with the role.
The main function of the role within the AKR, will be to to liaise with the FIK Anti Doping Committee and to propagate anti-doping information provided by the FIK to our members.
